Over50sHealthInsurance is an independent health insurance comparison website. The enquiries we receive are passed to an FCA regulated insurance broker – who assists you further.

As an introductory comparison service - we will only ask you to provide the following information.

How do we use your personal information? 

  • We share the information you supply to us with an FCA registered insurance broker – who then can provide you with advice and private medical quotes. 
  • So, we can notify you about new products and services. 
  • To complete statistical and analytical research, to improve your experience. 

Marketing 

By giving us your information, you are consenting to allowing us to contact you by email, text, mail or telephone to keep you updated about our products and services. Over 50s’ Health Insurance is approved by law, to carry this activity out, as long as the commercial interests for certain communications with customers are kept relevant.

Disclosure of your Personal Information 

Sometimes – to provide you with Over50sHealthInsurance services we may need to release your personal data to additional third-parties. This may include insurance industry databases, brokers and insurers, Government databases, regulatory bodies and law enforcement bodies  - to assist in fraud detection and prevention.  

International Data Transfers 

There’s a possibility that we need to transfer your data to those outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). In these cases, we ensure your personal data is secured and treated in line with data protection legislation.  

The Retention Period 

Over50sHealthInsurance will use your personal data for as long as it is necessary to do so, as set out in this policy. We hold and use your information to the extent needed to comply with our legal obligations.  

The data retention period, in most cases, will be for a maximum of 7 years - after the termination of an insurance deal.

Over50sHealthInsurance has a legal obligation to let you know what personal data of yours we hold. It is for this reason you have the right to ask us to provide you with the personal information we store on you.  

  • You have the legal right to ask us to correct, block, complete or delete your personal data. 

Processing your information under Legal Basis 

Our specialists at Over50sHealthInsurance are required by law to notify you of changes in our service in order to prevent and detect fraud, financial crimes and money laundering activity. 

As part of our service, we undergo a numerical analysis of personal data to improve the advice we give you.
